These researchers, in close collaboration with medical and industry partners, use prospective biomedical or behavioral research studies on human participants in order to answer specific questions about biomedical or behavioral interventions, including new treatments (such as new biomedical devices). Clinical trials generate data on safety and efficacy. This research area includes expertise in statistical and regulatory issues.
